Hello Ugandans! Welcome to OJ-UGANDA.COM!

We have just embarked on a new journey, and we want you to be with us every step of the way. It is a huge ask, but it is doable.

You are not going to travel with us literally, but if you come here and spend some time on the website, you will be travelling with us—in a manner of speaking.

And that is something we will treasure because of one key reason: time, like its cousin money, is so precious that people nearly always find it difficult to part with it.

So if you give us your time, we will appreciate that, and we will be eternally grateful to you. And if we deserve your time, maybe we deserve your money.

We have launched a news and information website that is like no other—at least in Uganda. We are providing an alternative to not just social media platforms—where all junk information is dumped for people to consume—but also websites that have signally failed to deliver quality information even when they have the capacity to do so.

They throw at you anything, but we think you deserve better.

The problem with junk information is that, in many ways, it is like junk food: it comes with problems. A lot of people, for example, read health-related information that is fake and act on the same information, thereby putting their health at risk.

People are relying on information they find on social media, and they consume it without question, without verifying it. We are the fruits and vegetables of discerning news and information consumers. Do NOT eat—or rather read—junk when we are here.

We promise that the information you will find on this website will always be fact-checked and verified—and there will be something to learn from it. We are not saying we cannot make errors/mistakes. We can—but we will do our best to avoid errors and to be open with you when it comes to the way we gather our information.

We are able to perform this task effectively because we have decades of experience in disseminating information that is verified and accurate.

Verified and fact-checked information will always be in demand, and we need it more than we have always needed it because we are drowning in some kind of information cesspool.
