- Total rent: The MP says the government pays shs2.9bn per month, but our tally puts the actual figure at shs3,152,000,000. That is shs252 million more than he claimed—not less.
- Per-minute income: The MP’s math gets even shakier with his wild claim that Mr Ruparelia earns shs600,000 per minute, whether he’s asleep or stuck in a traffic jam. In reality, if we go by the corrected total of shs3.15bn per month:
